Rivers: 'Whisenhunt wasn't distracted'

San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers believes that suggestions that offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt was distracted by head coaching interviews following their defeat to the Denver Broncos are "crazy".

Whisenhunt was interviewed for the vacant positions at the Tennessee Titans, the Detroit Lions and the Cleveland Browns before his side's divisional-round clash with the Broncos, where his offense struggled to put up points in their loss.

"I think that's crazy, honestly. He was all in, all week," Rivers told U-T San Diego. "He handled it like a pro."

Whisenhunt joined the Chargers this season after he was fired as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals in 2012.
