The San Diego Chargers have confirmed that Mike McCoy will be their new head coach.
McCoy has been the Denver Broncos' offensive coordinator for the last three years, helping the side to the number one seeding in the AFC this season.
The Chargers sacked previous coach Norv Turner and their general manager AJ Smith after failing to make the playoffs.
The Arizona Cardinals also interviewed McCoy for their head coach vacancy.
