Danario Alexander undergoes further ACL surgery

Danario Alexander has undergone a second operation on his anterior cruciate ligament.

The San Diego Chargers wide receiver missed the entire 2013 season after tearing the ligament during training camp.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the 25-year-old had a second operation to aid his recovery from the injury last month, delaying his return to action.

Alexander is due to become a free agent next month.
