Eagles trade cornerback Boykin to Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have acquired cornerback Brandon Boykin from the Philadelphia Eagles.

The 25-year-old was selected by the Eagles in the fourth round of the 2012 Draft, and he had been a starter for the NFC East side in his three years at the club.

Reports suggested that Chip Kelly's men wanted to trade Boykin earlier in the off-season, but the cornerback started the club's training camp.

However, he has been dealt to the Steelers in the first week of camp for a conditional pick in the fifth round of the 2016 Draft.

Boykin has recorded 120 tackles, one sack and seven interceptions in his three years in the NFL.
