Report: Philadelphia Eagles to place Arrelious Benn on injured reserve

A report suggests that the Philadelphia Eagles are ready to end the season of wide receiver Arrelious Benn by placing him on season-ending injured reserve.

The Philadelphia Eagles will place wide receiver Arrelious Benn on season-ending injured reserve, according to a report.

The 25-year-old sustained a concussion in his side's pre-season win over the Pittsburgh Steelers last week, and the injury has been deemed serious enough to end his 2014 campaign, claims ProFootballTalk.com.

This is the third season in a row Benn has been placed on IR. In 2012 a spate of injuries saw him put on the list at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while he tore his ACL during his first training camp with the Eagles last year.

Benn has recorded 59 receptions for 862 yards and five touchdowns in his four years in the NFL.
