DeMarco Murray: 'Production not just down to offensive line'

Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray believes that his excellent 2014 season for the Dallas Cowboys was not all down to the performances of his offensive line.

DeMarco Murray has insisted that his accomplishments last season were not all down to the quality of the Dallas Cowboys' offensive line.

The 27-year-old led the NFL in rushing yards last season as he recorded 1,845 yards and 13 touchdowns for the NFC East side, although his former teammate Joseph Randle suggested that the back left a lot of yards on the field.

Murray is adamant that he is not the only player to benefit from a talented line, and is looking to continue his success of last season following his move to the Philadelphia Eagles.

"I think Barry Sanders is the only one who didn't have a great O-line," Murray told reporters. "Emmitt Smith, Terrell Davis, all these guys had great lines.

"It's a little comedic to me. Every successful running back usually has a couple good offensive linemen.

"Those guys [in Dallas] were great, I've got a lot of respect for those guys. This group here [in Philadelphia], they've got some Pro Bowlers and great players."

Murray has rushed for 4,526 yards and 28 touchdowns in his four years in the league.
