Kelly: Quarterback competition "always open"

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has revealed that there will be an opportunity for Nick Foles to replace Michael Vick as his side's quarterback.

Vick left the field with a hamstring injury during his side's win over the New York Giants and was replaced with Foles, who threw two touchdown passes late in the game to hand Kelly's side the victory.

"There's always open competition," Kelly told . "If Nick goes out there and goes 100-for-100 and throws 27 touchdown passes, then yeah."

The Eagles are 2-3 in their season after week five.
