DeSean Jackson: "I was definitely hurt"

Wide receiver DeSean Jackson admits that he was disappointed with the manner of his release by the Philadelphia Eagles.

DeSean Jackson has revealed that he was "hurt" by his release from the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles cut Jackson amid reports linking him to gang activity, along with his high salary for the final three years of his contract.

Jackson has denied that he has any ties to gangs and was soon snapped by the Eagles' NFC East rivals the Washington Redskins.

"I was definitely hurt," Jackson told ESPN. "It was a humbling experience, but it's a business. It's the NFL."

The 27-year-old recorded 82 receptions for 1,332 yards along with nine touchdowns in the 2013 season.
