The Dolphins were able to move the ball downfield on their first possession courtesy of one big pass from Ryan Tannehill, but they were held to a field goal when Fletcher Cox sacked the quarterback, forcing Andrew Franks into action from 42 yards.

Philadelphia hit back to take the lead when they received the ball and Sam Bradford displayed good movement to throw on the run and find Josh Huff in the endzone for a two-yard score.

Miami conceded their third safety in three weeks to hand the Eagles another two points when Tannehill was sacked in the endzone by Walter Thurmond.

The home side compounded their advantage from the ensuing possession when Bradford moved his team to the goalline before Ryan Mathews plowed in for the one-yard touchdown.

Franks brought the Dolphins back into the game with a 22-yard field goal, and a blocked punt allowed the visitors a further chance to reduce the deficit. Tannehill completed a short pass to Lamar Miller, who found space over the left side to run into the endzone.
