Report: Marcus Mariota declares for 2015 NFL Draft

Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota will today declare for the 2015 NFL Draft, according to reports.

Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota will announce that he is to forego his senior season with the team in order to enter the 2015 NFL Draft, according to reports.

Despite not publicly committing that he would turn pro this year, ESPN reports that the reigning Heisman Trophy winner has informed school sources about his decision.

Mariota is believed to have already acquired his degree in General Science at Oregon, a factor which makes his decision to quit school easier.

The 21-year-old, expected to be a high Draft pick, is one of just four signal callers in college football history to pass for more than 10,000 yards and run for more than 2,000 in his career.

His team were beaten 42-20 by the Ohio State Buckeyes in the national title game last week.
