Charles Woodson signs one-year extension with Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders have confirmed that defensive back Charles Woodson has signed a one-year contract extension.

The 38-year-old had a productive season for the Raiders in the 2014 campaign despite his side's struggles as he recorded four interceptions.

Woodson has decided to extend his career under new head coach Jack Del Rio by signing a one-year deal worth $1.8m (£1.19m).

Woodson has earned eight All-Pro berths in his 17-year NFL career.
