Report: Oakland Raiders release LaMarr Woodley

A report claims that the Oakland Raiders have cut defensive end LaMarr Woodley after just one season with the club.

The Oakland Raiders have released defensive end LaMarr Woodley, according to a report.

The Raiders signed the 30-year-old in the free-agent market on a two-year deal worth $12m (£7.7m) last year, following his release by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

However, Woodley failed to make an impact with the Raiders before a biceps injury ended his season after just 10 games, and as a result the club have taken the decision to cut him, reports CSN Bay Area.

Woodley recorded five tackles in six games for the Raiders in the 2014 campaign.
