Oakland Raiders' Jared Veldheer placed on injured reserve return list

The Oakland Raiders have confirmed that they have placed tackle Jared Veldheer on injured reserve - designated to return list.

Veldheer sustained a triceps injury during his side's training camp and was feared to be lost for the season.

However, his diagnosis has improved in recent weeks and by placing him on the recall list, the 26-year-old can now return in week eight of the campaign.

Oakland face the Indianapolis Colts in their regular season opener.
