Derek Carr "excited" to play under Bill Musgrave

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr reveals his excitement at the prospect of playing in the high-tempo system of new offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave.

Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is relishing playing under new offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave in his high-tempo system.

Carr was selected in the second round of the 2014 Draft by the Raiders, and had a steady rookie season for the AFC West outfit despite the club's struggles.

However, the 24-year-old is now looking to kick on his second year in the NFL to get his team back into the post-season to end their 12-year playoff drought.

"I'm really excited, because just what I've heard and the things that we've talked about and what I assume, it is what I did at Fresno," Carr told the club's official website. "It's something that I'm comfortable doing.

"The things that they want to do are things that I'm good at, and that's really cool, that they want to take the offense and say, 'Hey, let's make it good at what you do. Let's build it around you and let's put pieces there that you feel comfortable with,' and all that kind of stuff."

Carr threw for 3,270 yards and 21 touchdowns to 12 interceptions in the 2014 season.
