Winslow still disgruntled by Seahawks exit

New York Jets tight end Kellen Winslow has admitted his annoyance over the manner of his exit from the Seattle Seahawks last year.

The 30-year-old was traded from Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Seahawks in April 2012, but he was released by the club in September after refusing to take a pay cut.

"What happened in Seattle, I couldn't control that," Winslow told Newsday.

"They cut me after training camp. That was out of my control. And they cut me over money. So they put me in a bad situation.

"I've never been put in that situation ... You just don't do a vet like that. And that's pretty much it."

Winslow was drafted sixth overall by the Cleveland Browns in the 2004 draft.
