Report: New York Giants set to sign defensive linesman Kenrick Ellis

Kenrick Ellis is reportedly set to sign for the New York Giants on a one-year contract.

The New York Giants are poised to snap up defensive linesman Kenrick Ellis from city rivals the New York Jets, according to reports.

Ellis has spent four seasons with the Jets after they picked him in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, but he has made just five starts in that time.

NFL Media understands that the 27-year-old will swap the Jets for the Giants on a one-year deal, worth around £1.1m.

Ellis made four tackles and one sack last season.
