Tuck: 'I might switch to linebacker'

Justin Tuck has revealed that the New York Giants are considering moving him to linebacker.

The 30-year-old played at both linebacker and tight end during high school, but has focused on the defensive end position since starting college in 2001.

Tuck told The Star Ledger: "We're toying around with a lot of things, and that's one of them. I'm always open for new things, any time you get an opportunity to showcase your versatility.

"Once I know where we're headed with it, I'll study some guys like DeMarcus [Ware, of the Dallas Cowboys] and guys like [Washington Redskins linebacker Brian] Orakpo in defenses they stand up in. LaMarr Woodley [of the Pittsburgh Steelers] is another guy."

Tuck made 45 tackles and four sacks for the Giants last season.
