Walter Thurmond: 'I'm the best slot corner in the league'

New York Giants cornerback Walter Thurmond claims that he is the best slot corner in the NFL and believes that the Giants' secondary is as good as the Seattle Seahawks'.

New York Giants cornerback Walter Thurmond has claimed that he is the best slot corner in the entire league.

Thurmond joined the Giants last month having being a part of the notorious 'Legion of Boom' secondary that helped the Seattle Seahawks to the Super Bowl title.

However, despite Seattle's success last season, the 26-year-old believes that the Giants secondary is at least a match of his former team.

"Oh most, definitely, if not better, in my opinion. The cornerbacks, and the whole defensive backfield at the end of the day. I'm the best slot corner in the league. I'll say that, for sure," Thurmond told reporters.

Thurmond spent four years with the Seahawks, making 42 appearances for the team.
