Orlando Scandrick relishing Victor Cruz matchup

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick has claimed that he is looking forward to facing up to New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz on Sunday.

Cruz is often Giants quarterback Eli Manning's favourite target, and enjoyed success against the Cowboys in the season opener, registering three touchdowns in a 36-31 loss.

However Scandrick has said that he enjoys their clashes, and that facing Cruz is the type of test which helps him to become a better player.

Scandrick told Cowboys.com: "You guys know I'm always out to prove something, so any time I have a chance to play against a guy of that calibre - a Pro Bowler - I relish those moments.

"But at the same time, I know it's going to be a challenge and I'm embracing it. I'm going to be ready to play.

"I feel like the past two or three times that we've played against each other and just highlight our matchup, it's been a great battle. We go at it. He does some things great, and I do some things well that he has trouble with."

The NFC East rivals could have equal records come Sunday night, should the Giants win their fifth consecutive game.
