Odell Beckham frustrated by hamstring injury

New York Giants rookie Odell Beckham reveals that he doesn't want to leave a bad impression with coach Tom Coughlin during his spell on the sidelines.

New York Giants rookie Odell Beckham Jr has revealed that he is equally as frustrated as coach Tom Coughlin over his inability to practise with the team.

The first-round pick has been forced away from the practice field with a right hamstring injury, having initially missing mini-camp before re-injuring the hamstring in the first training camp practice last week.

"He wants me out there as bad as I want to be out there. I'm new and we don't know each other that well yet, and your first impression is one that lasts forever. So you don't ever want to leave a bad impression," he said, ESPN reports.

The Giants drafted Beckham with the 12th overall pick in the Draft in May and he will continue to discuss strategies with the coaching staff in order to stay involved until he recovers.
