Eli Manning a "little nervous" ahead of new season

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning concedes that he is a "little nervous" about getting new offensive schemes right to start the new season.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has conceded that he is a "little nervous" ahead of the new season as he adapts to new offensive schemes.

After a disappointing campaign last year, the Giants have a new offensive coordinator in Ben McAdoo to work with and Manning believes that things will improve with time.

"Yeah, it is different. You come into the season a little nervous. You just don't have [the same comfort]. You have a good feel for it, but not to where I want it to be. That's with repetition and more plays," the New York Post quotes him as saying.

Manning underwent ankle surgery in April but has now fully recovered and is looking forward to working with a dangerous offensive unit next season.
