Coughlin not ready to retire

Tom Coughlin has said that he has no plans to retire after the 2013 NFL season.

Terrell Thomas told reporters last week that he thought the New York Giants head coach would retire at the end of next campaign.

The 66-year-old told reporters: "I approach each year the way I've always approached it.

"I mean, the energy's flowing good, I'm excited about it, and looking forward to this off-season, getting our football team together again. Maybe at some point I'll get the message, but it certainly isn't right now."

Coughlin is under contract until the end of the 2014 season.
