Cordle to miss rest of season with patella injury

The New York Giants have placed Jim Cordle on injured reserve after he sustained a patella tendon injury.

The center, who has started seven of the NFC East side's last eight games, picked up the injury during the team's 24-21 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

The 26-year-old took over from David Baas after he missed time with neck and knee injuries.

The Giants face the Washington Redskins this weekend.
