Report: Pectoral muscle injury to keep Will Beatty out for most of the season

The New York Giants have suffered an injury blow with the news that Will Beatty requires surgery on a pectoral tear, according to reports.

The 30-year-old has missed just one game in the last three seasons, but looks set for a long spell on the sidelines.

NFL Media reports that the left tackle suffered the tear while lifting weights yesterday, and will miss the majority of the 2015 campaign.

Beatty joined the team in the second round of the NFL Draft in 2009.
