Darren Sproles hints at New Orleans Saints departure

New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles has hinted that he will be released by the team ahead of free agency.

The 30-year-old has been an integral part of the club's offense since his arrival during the 2011 season, but they are prepared to cut ties with him due to his high salary cap number for the next campaign.

Sproles wrote on Twitter: "Thank you New Orleans for your support over the past 3 years! I will always be forever grateful. #WhoDat."

The running back recorded 824 total yards for the club last season, along with four touchdowns.
