Keenan Lewis: 'I want Rob Ryan to remain with New Orleans Saints'

New Orleans Saints cornerback Keenan Lewis has insisted that he wants defensive coordinator Rob Ryan to remain with the team for the 2015 season.

Reports during the campaign suggested that there was friction between Ryan and head coach Sean Payton, which were dismissed by Payton.

However, Ryan's defense continued to struggle to stop opposing teams and after 15 games ranked 31st in the NFL, this was a contributing factor in the Saints' elimination from the playoff picture.

Lewis told reporters: "I want him back. I'm going to ride with him, one hundred. He's a great coordinator. You just can't blame him when things go wrong. We're the ones out there playing."

Ryan joined the Saints in the 2013 season.
