Larry Fitzgerald: 'New England Patriots didn't approach me'

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald says that he never heard from the New England Patriots over a trade during the 2013 NFL season.

Larry Fitzgerald has insisted that the New England Patriots did not try to acquire him in a trade during the 2013 NFL season.

There was speculation earlier this year that the AFC East side had sought to bring the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver to Foxboro before last year's trade deadline, although the NFC West team dismissed the rumours.

The 30-year-old told USA Today: "Nothing at all. I mean, I heard stuff that was being said. But there was never a time where the team approached me. Nothing like that.

"Whatever happens after the season, happens after the season. But most of that stuff is out of my control anyway."

Fitzgerald recorded 954 receiving yards and scored 10 touchdowns for the Cardinals last season.
