Bill Belichick: 'We have to improve'

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has insisted that his side have to improve the level of their performances following their 40-32 win over the Buffalo Bills.

The Patriots moved to 2-0 in their season as Tom Brady threw for three touchdowns and 466 yards to put the Bills' defense to the sword.

Rex Ryan's men almost launched a late comeback when they scored 19 points in the final quarter, only to be denied by a late interception of Tyrod Taylor by Logan Ryan.

Belichick told reporters: "Certainly a lot of things we could do better. We left a lot of plays on the field. So we just have to keep trying to coach better and play better, play with more consistency. We had a good week of preparation.

"We were ready to go. We did a lot of things well, but there's certainly a lot of things we need to do better, so concentrate on that.

"I think there are a lot of things we can do better, everybody can do better. I didn't think it was that spectacular by anybody but it was good enough. But we got a lot of room to improve."

The Patriots face the Jacksonville Jaguars in their clash on Sunday.
