Archer falls short of Combine record

Former Kent State Golden Flashes running back Dri Archer has fallen 0.02 seconds short of breaking the fastest 40-yard sprint time at the NFL Combine.

The 22-year-old ran the fastest time of the Combine so far this year, as he completed the dash in just 4.26 seconds.

However, he fell two-hundredths of a second short of Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson's record time of 4.24 seconds set back in 2008.

Archer ran for 567 yards and six touchdowns for Kent State in the 2013 season.
