McCluster relieved to avoid MRSA

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dexter McCluster has expressed his relief that an infection he sustained last week was not MRSA.

The 25-year had a cut on his ankle which Doctors believed could by MRSA, but after undergoing a series of tests it was revealed that McCluster just had a mild infection, meaning that he returned to practice this week after having a minor operation.

"I had no idea what that was at first," McCluster told reporters. "My mom was calling me and asking me what it was, [and I said] we don't know what it is.

"They went in there — and thank God that it wasn't –- it was something that they could get in and get cleaned out and help me get back out there early."

McCluster has 46 receptions in the season for 438 yards and a touchdown.
