Jamaal Charles returns to Kansas City Chiefs practice

Jamaal Charles has returned to practice with the Kansas City Chiefs a week after injury his foot.

The running back missed the team's pre-season defeat to the San Francisco 49ers while recovering from the injury.

The 26-year-old told reporters: "I'm doing fine. Things happen and you don't know when it's going to happen; you just have to be prepared and take care of your body.

"That's what I'm still doing. Just trying to make sure I do all the right things and get my body taken care of."

Charles recorded 1,509 rushing yards for the Chiefs last season.
