The Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly hired former New York Jets general manager John Idzik to become a consultant for the organisation.
Izdik spent two years with the Jets, but parted company with the franchise at the end of last season as they made multiple hierarchy changes.
The 54-year-old is expected to help with the salary-cap side of operations at the Jaguars, but will not have a role in player evaluation.
Jacksonville have the most cap space of any team in the league heading into the new league year, which begins on March 10.
Idzik was the general manager of the Jets from the start of the 2013 season, as the team went 12-20 during his tenure.
