Jacksonville Jaguars release veteran defensive end Jason Babin

Veteran defensive end Jason Babin is released from the Jacksonville Jaguars despite having only recently signed a new contract with the team.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced that veteran defensive end Jason Babin has been released from the team.

Babin had already departed the Jaguars earlier in March, though he returned to sign a three-year deal with Jacksonville only three days later.

However, the Jags have now announced that they will be parting company with Babin, as they look to the future with youngsters Andre Branch, Ryan Davis and Chris Smith.

The Jags decided to release Babin earlier in the off-season in order to allow him to find another club before the beginning of team training camps in July.
