David Caldwell says that he cannot see Tim Tebow joining the Jacksonville Jaguars for the 2013 NFL season.

David Caldwell has said that he will not be looking to bring Tim Tebow to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The new general manager of the Jaguars has all but ruled out making a trade for the New York Jets' backup quarterback during the off-season.

Caldwell told reporters: "I can't imagine a scenario where he would be a Jacksonville Jaguar. Even if he's released."

Prior to Caldwell's appointment, the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner had been strongly linked with a move to Jacksonville.

Caldwell says that there will be an open competition for the role of starting quarterback of the Jaguars for the 2013 season.

The Jags finished 31st in the NFL, with just two wins during the season.
