Jason Babin nears full fitness

Jason Babin has said that he has almost fully recovered from a groin injury.

The Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end underwent surgery to repair the problem last month and believes that he will be ready for training camp in a couple of weeks.

The 33-year-old told the team's official website: "I'm about nine days out from being 100%.

"[Strength and conditioning coach Tom Myslinski] and [athletic] Mike [Ryan], they've got close watch over me. They don't let me go too hard."

This is the first time than Babin has undergone surgery during his 10-year NFL career.
