Colts sign Irving on three-year deal

The Indianapolis Colts have confirmed that they have signed free agent linebacker Nate Irving.

The 26-year-old sustained a torn ACL towards the end of the 2014 season while playing for the Denver Broncos in their run to the playoffs.

The Broncos let Irving reach the free-agent market when his contract expired at the end of the campaign, which allowed the Colts to move for the linebacker on a three-year deal worth up to $9.25m (£6.1m).

Irving recorded 46 tackles and one sack for the AFC West side last season.
