Report: Mathis expected to be fit for OTAs

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Robert Mathis should be back on the field for his side's off-season practices, according to a report.

The 33-year-old missed the 2014 season after tearing his Achilles tendon while training away from the team, having initially being suspended for the opening four games of the campaign.

Mathis is now on the road to a full recovery from the injury and is expected to participate in a portion of Chuck Pagano's men's organised team activities in May, reports NFL Network.

The linebacker has recorded 487 tackles, 111 sacks and one interception in his 12-year NFL career.
