The Houston Texans have agreed a deal to sign former New York Giants running back Andre Brown on a one-year contract, according to reports.
Brown has endured a torrid time with injuries in recent seasons, missing the final five games of the 2012 campaign with a broken leg before suffering the same injury just before the start of last season.
The 27-year-old did manage to return before the end of the campaign, however, rushing for more than 100 yards in two of his first three games back from the injury.
However, he fumbled three times in the final four games of the season and was deemed surplus to requirements by the Giants after they signed former Oakland Raiders running back Rashad Jennings earlier this off-season.
Brown is expected to act as a replacement for Ben Tate, who joined the Cleveland Browns last month, complementing Arian Foster in the backfield.
