Wade Phillips hits back at Ed Reed

Wade Phillips denies Ed Reed's comments that his defense is not right for the Houston Texans players.

Houston Texans defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has responded to Ed Reed's comments that his system is not a good fit for the players at the club.

Reed said that Phillips was a major part of why he left the Texans, but the coach said that his defense are enjoying being a part of his system.

"I think a lot of players have fit into it real well," Phillips told Seattlepi.com. "I just let the record speak for itself.

"We've got seven guys on defense that have been here since I've been here, and I feel like they've played real well within it."

The Texans are 2-8 this season and their next game is against the 1-9 Jacksonville Jaguars.
