Arian Foster "feels great" ahead of season

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster insists that he is "fine" heading into the new season despite being ravaged with injury problems this summer.

Houston Texans running back Arian Foster feels that he is in excellent shape heading into the new season.

The 27-year-old has missed the majority of the Texans' off-season activities with a series of minor injuries to his calf.

"I'm fine," Foster told TheMMQB.com. "My body feels great. I actually think all this time [off] might help.

"You ask any player, 'How'd you enjoy the lockout season?' Great time. You had a chance to train without [having to] practise every day. When you got back to training camp, everyone felt fresh. That's exactly how I feel right now."

Houston open their regular season campaign against the San Diego Chargers on September 9.
