Foster: 'Calf strain not serious'

Arian Foster has said that the calf strain he sustained last month is not serious.

The Houston Texans running back has been spending time in a hyperbaric chamber to aid his recovery from the injury that forced him out of organised team activities almost three weeks ago.

The 26-year-old told FOXSports.com: "Yeah, it's going good man. It's just a small calf strain. News is dry in the off-season, so it made headlines.

"I try to get in [the hyperbaric chamber] once a day. I try to get in there for 45 minutes or an hour or two hours. Some guys believe in it, some guys don't.

"It creates the white blood cells in your body and helps with oxygen flow to promote the healing process and recovery. I feel like it works."

Foster believes that he will be fit enough to take part in the team's training camp later this month.
