Davon House: 'I can be an NFL starter'

Davon House feels that he can be a starting cornerback in the NFL after four years of serving as a backup with the Green Bay Packers.

Green Bay Packers cornerback Davon House has insisted that he has the ability to be a starter in the NFL.

The 25-year-old joined the Packers in the 2011 but has failed to become a regular in their starting defense during four seasons with Mike McCarthy's men.

House is expected to be available on the free-agent market next month, and he is confident that he will be a starter for one of the other 32 teams in the NFL.

"I don't like the role just playing special teams, especially when I know I can contribute," House told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

"I know I can play. I truly believe the film says I can play in this league. If my film doesn't show it, I don't mind playing special teams. But I think my film shows I'm a starter."

House has recorded 98 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions in his four years in the league.
