Young: 'I can't afford to rest on laurels'

Green Bay Packers quarterback Vince Young is adamant that he can't afford to rest on his laurels as he attempts to make his side's roster.

Young is all but guaranteed a place in Mike McCarthy's side's 53-man squad for the upcoming season after beating out Graham Harrell to become Aaron Rodgers's backup.

Young told reporters: "Nothing's changed. It's still a learning process. Nothing's really changed.

"Get here, stay overtime and just grind it out. It's football, it's what I love to do. It's my craft. I want to put in the work so I can continue to catch up with the guys and get better each week."

Green Bay face the San Francisco 49ers in their opening regular season game on September 8.
