Lang: Running game "took a step back"

Green Bay Packers offensive lineman TJ Lang has admitted that his side's running game "took a step back" in their pre-season defeat to the Seattle Seahawks.

Mike McCarthy's running backs struggled to get anything going on the ground again in their 17-10 defeat, as they amassed just 36 yards on 20 attempts between them.

"Obviously, looking at the stats, we definitely took a step back today," Lang told the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

"A couple penalties negated some good runs. That's obviously something we take a lot of pride in - moving the ball on the ground - and we just didn't get it done tonight. We're going to have to do better."

Green Bay open their regular season in two weeks' time against the San Francisco 49ers.
