John Fox: 'We plan to rest Peyton Manning during bye week'

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox has revealed that he plans to rest quarterback Peyton Manning during his side's bye week.

Manning is on pace for a record season after throwing 29 touchdowns in his side's first eight games but has been struggling in recent weeks with sprained ankles.

"He's not going to get a whole lot of reps the next two days, I'll tell you that," Fox told reporters.

The Broncos are 7-1 in their season after week eight.
