John Fox: 'Matt Prater will be fine for Super Bowl'

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox is adamant that kicker Matt Prater will be fine for the Super Bowl despite missing two practices this week with an illness.

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox has insisted that kicker Matt Prater will be "fine" despite missing his second straight practice of the week.

Prater has been struggling with an undisclosed illness as his side prepare for their Super Bowl clash with the Seattle Seahawks at MetLife Stadium on February 2.

"A combination of both, like most sick players. We sent him to the doc. They deal with it, give him medication. He'll be fine," Fox told reporters.

Prater made 25 of his 26 field goal attempts this season and also kicked the longest field goal in NFL history from 64 yards.
