Ware restructures Cowboys contract

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware has restructured his contract in order to save the franchise money on their salary cap limit.

The new deal, which includes two voidable years from 2015 to 2017, will shave an estimated £2.5m off the yearly cap.

The Cowboys are roughly £13m over the salary cap and are expected to make similar deals with other players in the next couple of weeks.

Ware made 16 starts in 2012, making 11.5 sacks in total.
