Jerry Jones: 'Scott Linehan, Tony Romo will link up well'

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes that new passing game coordinator Scott Linehan and quarterback Tony Romo will be "joined at the hip" next season.

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones has revealed that he expects new passing game coordinator Scott Linehan and quarterback Tony Romo to be "joined at the hip" next season.

Linehan joined the Cowboys from the Detroit Lions last month and will work closely with Romo in a restructured coaching setup for the team's offense.

Jones noted that Romo had spoken to Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford regarding Linehan's arrival and is "excited" at having the chance to work with him.

"The most excited guy in the organization was Tony Romo to have the prospect of getting Linehan, so they will be locked at the hip," he is quoted as saying by ESPN.

Romo completed 342 of 535 passes for 3,828 yards, 31 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 15 games last season.
