Jones: 'Cowboys survive without Romo'

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has insisted that the team will be able to survive until first-choice quarterback Tony Romo returns from injury.

Romo has been ruled out of action for several weeks after breaking his collarbone, while receiver Dez Bryant is also sidelined due to injury.

"If we improve within because they are not here and then we have them come back, which will make us better when they do return, then I think we have got a chance to be a better team," Jones said, according to ESPN.

"That is certainly the way I look at it. But from the standpoint of them not being here and falling off the map, I do not see that at all. The game is not designed that way. There are too many people that have to get on the field and play the game."

Brandon Weeden has stepped in with Romo sidelined, and Jones is confident that he will be able to steer the team forward in the coming weeks.
