Jason Garrett confident DeMarco Murray can handle workload

Garrett confident in Murray

Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett has insisted that he is confident that running back DeMarco Murray can handle the workload this season.

Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar have just five carries over the last three games between them as back-ups to Murray but Garrett feels that his starter is not risking burn-out.

"DeMarco is a guy who has shown he can handle the workload, both as a runner and a receiver," Garrett said, according to ESPN.com.

"He wants more. He never wants to come out of the game. At different times, we've done a good job of getting the other guys in there and they've taken advantages of their opportunities and we'll continue to do that, but he's a bellcow player."

The Cowboys will have had 10 days to recover after defeating the Chicago Bears on Thursday night ahead of facing divisional rivals the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.
